Krishnagiri: Three family members, one of them a three-year-old girl, was shocked in the village of Singarapettai near Uthangarai here on Sunday when a wet cloth which one of them spread to a clothesline, while others tried to save the first by holding Toddler Mahakshmi, said the police, has been separated from her husband two years ago and lived with her mother, along with her daughter.
Police officers said the incident occurred when Indira spread clothes washed at her house on Sunday morning.
“One wet clothes come into contact with direct wire, which depends on the clothesline.
When Indira experiences an electric shock, Mahalakhmi, who holds her daughter in her lap, trying to pull her mother with an empty hand.
The three are then set up,” the officer said.
When he saw this, the neighbor warned the police Singarapettai, who sent a corpse to a government hospital in Uthangarai for postmortem.
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
