Rajkot: Three foreign students from private universities are among 15 people testing positive Covid-19 in the city of Rajkot and rural areas on Wednesday.
One positive Covid-19 person also died in Kalyanpur Taluka from Devbhumi Dwarka district.
Two students came from Nepal and one was a citizen of Bangladesh, who all studied at the University of RK.
A student has returned from South Africa and was tested positive for the Omicron variant on Sunday.
Samples of these students have been sent for genome sequencing to ensure omicron infection.
The authority of the citizenship has begun to trace students’ contact and all that has been positively tested.
Of the 15 cases, seven are in the city of Rajkot.
Meanwhile, five more people were tested positively at Jamnagar on Wednesday.
