Nagpur: Disputes for consuming liquor proved expensive for a 30-year-old man after three people allegedly stabbed him to death in the Rajiv Nagar area in the MIDS police station on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Surendra aka Tirri Pilhar, (30), a resident of Shubham Nagar.
Police MIDC has registered a murder case and arrested Nilesh aka Ghajini Shah, Arun alias Kachra Janwat Singh and Bablu Ramadhar Sanodia, all residents of Shubham Nagar.
The police said that the deceased was a daily bet and he used to consume liquor with all three accused.
Recently, Surendra insulted the defendant when they refused to pay for money for liquor.
On Wednesday night Surendra was reported to be abusing Shah.

On Thursday morning, residents saw Surendra lying in a pool of blood with serious stab wounds.
The police solved this case within a few hours by catching the trio that had spilled beans, according to the Senior PI from the MIDC Police Station Umesh Bangkar.
