VISAKHAPATNAM: Six armed Maoists, including several girls cadres and 2 branch committee members, had been killed in a gunfight with Andhra Pradesh authorities’s crack Greyhounds unit within the Teegalametta woods of Visakhapatnam Agency early on Wednesday.
There were approximately 25 members of this Galikonda region committee along with the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army, the armed wing of this outfit, in the website once the Greyhounds team transferred in.
Some of these ultras escaped injuries, officials explained.
The authorities seized a cache of weapons, such as a AK-47 rifle, 1 SLR, three .303 rifles plus also a countrymade gun, other 2 walkie-talkies, explosives, kit bags along with other incriminating stuff left behind by the imposing Maoists.
Visakha Rural SP Boddepalli Krishna Rao stated they understand that a few Naxals are hurt.
“We guarantee that the most effective medical care to them should they give to the authorities,” he explained.
