Pune: Pune policies on Friday registered brilliantly against a contractor and holding three people in connection with the death of five workers after the collapse of the steel structure at the construction site last night, Commissioner Amitabh Gupta was informed.
Speaking with Ani, Commissioner Municipal Pune said that a command was issued to establish a committee led by a senior officer to investigate the incident collapsing the steel structure.
“Prima facie, it looks support for the foundation of the failed structure.
We accept the help of technical experts,” he said.
The building structure under construction in Pune collapsed late at night on Thursday which led to the death of five workers and injured in several others.
“Ten workers who work under the structure of the iron rod are trapped after the structure suddenly collapses on them,” Sunil Gilbile said, the head of the fire department.
The main investigation shows that the incident occurred due to the lack of precautions at the location.
“Five people have died in place, two critical injured while three suffered minor injuries.
The main report showed that prevention steps were not on this site,” said Rohidas Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Pune Police.
Authorities have launched an investigation about the reasons of collapse.
