Coimbatore: Three people were arrested on Thursday because they tried to kill Hindu official Munnani in Mettupalayam in September this year for previous hostility.
Police Mettupalayam identified the defendant as R Mobin, 26, from Mathina Nagar, M Nawas Sheriff, 25, and his brother M Ibrahim, 20, from Mahadevapuram.
A police officer said Nawas and Ibrahim had tried to kill the 36-year-old Chandrasykar, Urban Secretary Hindu Munnani, while he was on his way to the office of the clothing on September 25.
“Mubin helped them by tracking his movement of others in the area.” Chandrasekar, however, fled with injury and filed a complaint to Mettupalayam police, who arrested the trio on Thursday and ordered it.
The officer said Chandrasykar was among Gang 10 who attacked Ibrahim on March 14 on Ooty road when he went to the rescue of his friend Muhammad Mujmal, who was involved in an accident.
“To take revenge, Ibrahim, his brother and his friend tried to kill Chandrasykar.” TNN.
