Somnath: Three people were arrested on Tuesday because clashes erupted between two members of the community, where two people were injured and a shop and several vehicles were damaged in the Gir Somnath Gujarat district, police said.
Dozens of people from two communities, armed with sticks, at odds with each other on Monday night, leaving two people injured and two motorbikes and a broken shop in Prabhas Patan, said Inspector N AHIR.
“Some people have made a fight after two motorbikes crashing into the market in Prabhas Patan before Monday.
The problem was resolved at that time.
However, then, two groups attacked this problem,” the official said.
The police have arrested three people from 25 who were accused of who was a FIR registered after the clash, he said.
Communal tensions apply in the area, where there is a severe police deployment to prevent unwanted incidents, the official said, adding that the situation is now under control.
A pine was submitted against a group of 25 people, including seven named accused, under the parts of the Indian criminal code involving riots with deadly weapons, illegal assembly, insults to provocation, voluntarily cause pain, among others.
