Mumbai: Police Lt Marg recently arrested three people for allegedly threatening an Angadiya businessman and his employees with terrible consequences by pointing to weapons stored in their bags and walked with Rs 55 lakh.
The incident occurred during the Holiday Day on July 22 at Zaveri Bazar near Crawford Market.
During the probe, investigators arrested Goregaon Resident Manoj Jain (46), two residents of Bihar –rajesh Rai (33) and Chandrashekhar Thakur (35).
The police are now looking for one more accused of desirable in this case.
“The complainant, a 55-year-old businessman, was in his shop as usual with two employees when two men, who covered their faces with masks, entered the shop.
One of them had a bag on his back.

“We analyzed around 125 CCTV cameras during the probe.
While through a camera installed near a violation place, we found two men entering the store, and when they returned, a man waited outside the store also joined them while walking on the road.

When asked why the shop employees didn’t shout for help, the officer said they were too scared.
While checking CCTV footage, the researchers found three defendants had changed three times.
They left a taxi in the area of Rea Race and hired another taxi.

According to the police, they distributed money robbed among themselves in Prabhadevi and went in a different direction.
While Jain headed for another location in the city, Rai and Thakur went for Bihar.
After connecting the dots through CCTV and found one taxi number, the police began analyzing cellular dump data.
In a large breakthrough, the police found one of the cellphone numbers of the defendants who were common in several locations.
The police team went to a different place, and within a week, the three defendants were arrested and Rs 26 Lakh recovered from them.
During interrogation, investigators knew that Rai had previously worked in the Zaveri Bazar area and realized the culture and business area.
Moreover, before entering the store, the defendant had survived the place.
Manoj Jain told the police that when he was in Prison Jalan Arthur in connection with the 2014 Wadala robbery case, he had met Rai in prison and friends.
Rai and Thakur came from Bihar on July 17 for robbery and lived in Bhiwandi.
