3 held with 17 raw bombs intended to seize wild boar

Coimbatore: The Forestry Department officer arrested three people with 17 Avuttukkai (country bombings) in Byparal Karadu in the outskirts of the city on Sunday morning.
Forester said the frontline staff members were in the range of sirumugai forests patrolling in the area at 4 am on Sunday when they saw the trio on an agricultural land preparing to hunt forest boar with avüttukkai.
“The trio has a torch lamp with them.
The team surrounded them and arrested them.
They brought nine avuttukkai.
During interrogation, they claimed that they had hidden eight other country bombs.
The team confiscated 17 avüttukkai from them in total,” the officer said.
He identified who was arrested as Martin, 58, from Luthapuram near Avinashi in the District of Tirupur, S Selvam, 48, from Ipluppanasatham near Sirumugai in Coimbatore, and Siluvaimuthu, 34, Axtra near Avinashi in Tirupur District.
Personal investigations reveal that trio is used to hunt forest boar with state bombs.
They were ordered under the Wild Life Protection Act and handed over to the police Sir again, which registered the first information report against the trio under the explosive law and arrested them.
