Gurugram: As part of his readiness for the possibility of the third wave of Covid-19, the government of Haryana on Wednesday appointed three IAS officers to take stock of oxygen plants in the 22 regencies.
Officers will check the status of oxygen demand, swing emphasis (PSA) oxygen generator and liquid oxygen plant in the government and private set-up.
Officers, Rajeev Rigan, Prabhot Singh and Dr Shalin, will visit the district-district in the coming week.
In a review meeting held through video conferencing, Rajeev Arora, ACS (HEALTH), Haryana, directing all districts to collect data on type B and type D cylinders and send their requests to state governments if needed.
He also said that home isolation kits must be obtained and remain useful for distribution in the event of a new surge in the Covid case.
Arora directing all districts to improve their earliest oxygen bed and carry out the right assessment and covid care center inspection and a dedicated Covid Hospital.
He asked the district oxygen audit committee to curb stocking or marketing black from drugs and essential covid items.
All districts are also told to increase sample collection and the combined daily target of 35,000 tests set.
At the meeting, the Ministry of Health said Haryana currently has 409 beds available at 24 special newborn care units (SNCU) and 294 beds in 22 district hospitals for pediatric patients.
A total of 170 ventilators, 482 bipap and 103 HFNC are available for pediatric use.
82 ventilators are available in the warehouse for distribution, he added.
Arora put stress on vaccination, said they must be accelerated and the 50% session must be exclusive to the second dose.
Gurugram CMO Virender Yadav said more second dose sessions would be planned in the coming week.
“Our focus is always the second dose recipient.
Now, we will hold at least 60% of sessions for them,” he added.
