Gurgaon: Three unauthorized colonies, spread in 15 hectares of agricultural land in Harsaru Village, returned by the City Enforcement Team and the State Planning Department (DTCP) on Monday.
The colony is in advanced because the plot is done and the houses and shops are being built.
During the trip, the enforcement team destroyed six houses under construction, four stores and other 20 structures with the help of two earthmovers.
The District Planner District (Enforcement) Batth Hospital told TII Team faced resistance from investors who said they were trapped by property dealers, who had convinced them that the colony would not be destroyed and they were not aware of the legal status of the plot.
Local residents also asked officials to help them get back the money from their work.
After the Demolition Drive, Ashish Sharma City Assistant Planner directed the buyer to share the detail of the property dealer with the DTCP office, after the tight action to be taken against them.
He further said the builder and property dealer were presented to show past notifications, followed by restoration sequences but they did not provide satisfactory replies and continued with construction.
“The department then filed a police complaint based on FIR filed against them at the Sector 10A police station,” he added.
BATTH said two to three drives demolition was being carried out in the city every week to maintain inspection on illegal colony mushrooms.
“There is a strict direction from the director not to set aside unauthorized construction in licensed colonies and illegal colonies on agricultural land that violates Haryana’s development and regulation of urban laws,” he said.
Batth warned people in place not to fall into traps of builders and property dealers like that which lured them to invest in the illegal colony.
Director of DTCP KM Pandurang recently directed his team not only filed police complaints against landowners and illegal colony developers but also against those who were behind the planning of illegal activities.
