Gurgaon: Three prison prisoners Bhondsi has been ordered for allegedly torturing and struggling with a detainees and tried to squeeze Rs 5 Lakh from him.
Police said Ayush Garg, a Ghaziabad citizen who lodged in prison in connection with fraud cases, was deprived of basic facilities such as health care and access to the prison canteen by the trio for failing to pay the amount.
The accused man has been identified as Islamuddin, Sachin and Shakrulla.
Garg was allegedly forced to make calls to his family members for money and tortured by the trio when they failed to make money.
Garg was arrested on June 21 in the case of cheating.
Within a few weeks, the trio cornered it and struggled, demanding Rs 5 Lakh.
In his police complaint, Garg accused him of trying to meet in prison authorities, but the trio did not allow him to meet them and vice versa struggling and tortured him.
He experienced several injuries, but the defendants allegedly denied access to hospitals, canteens and other facilities provided to the detainees.
When his condition deteriorated, he was taken to a prison hospital by the Green Prison.
The crime was taken to the notification of the Minister of Chief and Senior Government officials through complaints submitted by Garg’s brother in July, after an investigation of the department began.
Garg’s brother also made accusations against the supervisor and deputy prison supervisor of Bhondsi.
A pine was finally submitted to men accused based on Garg complaints below section 384 (extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (general intentions) IPC at the Bhondsi Police Station on Monday.
When contacted by Toi, Director General (Prison) Muhammad Akil said: “I will see this problem.”
