3 Killed, 20 injured in the explosion at Anarkali Lahore Market

Lahore: At least three people were killed and 20 others were injured on Thursday in a strong explosion in the bathroom in the famous Anarkali market in Lahore, where Indian commodities were sold, police said.
Police spokesman Lahore Rana Arif confirmed the death of three people in the explosion that destroyed the windows nearby shops and buildings, the Dawn Newspaper reported.
According to the police, the explosion occurred near the Paan Bath, where Indian commodities were sold.
There is no group that claims the responsibility for the explosion so far.
“We confirmed the nature of the explosion.
More than 20 people had been injured in the explosion and shifted to the hospital,” Deputy General Inspector of Police Operations Dr.
Mohammad Abid told reporters on the explosion site near Lahore’s historic walled city.
Abid does not rule out the possibility of a time device implanted on a motorcycle or placed on the market.
“The crater on the explosion site shows the possibility of a time device.
However, at this stage we cannot confirm this,” he said.
The counters terrorism department and bomb disposal force officers have reached the place and are examining the nature of the explosion, he said.
According to rescue 1122, the injured had shifted to the Mayo Hospital where two surrendered to their injury.

Iftikhar said that two people included a boy giving up on their wounds.
He said the four conditions were injured taken to the hospital were very important.
A large number of motorcycle stalls and vendors were also damaged in the explosion.
The police have conducted cordoned from the area.
The entire Anarkali Bazaar was closed after the explosion.
