3 men were imprisoned for stealing elephant ivory

Coimbatore: Three men were arrested on Thursday because they stole two iles from the remnants of wild derivatives in the range of forests of the Boluvampatti forest with the intention to sell them -Year-old V Maruthupandi and V Chinnan aged 50 years, all residents of the Thanikandi settlement.
The officer said the forestry frontline staff had found the remains of the Tusker framework, who had died about 40 days ago, during routine patrols at Poondi South Forest Beat on October 23.
“Tusks were lost from the remnants of the framework.
We then registered a case under the Law of Wildlife Protection and launched an application in the reserve forest area.” The officers said they had restored stolen ivory, hidden in the middle of the bush around 430 meters.
From the place where the remains of the Tusker frame were found, on October 28.
