3 Odias was chosen under the PM scheme for punching young writers

BHubaneswar: The National Book Trust (NBT), the top of the Ministry of Education’s tops to produce a good literature in Indian and to promote books, announce the results of all Indian contests held on the theme of ‘Indian National Movement’ under Yuva: Pradhan Military Scheme for Punching young writers.
Thousands of youths have submitted their application for the contest, but only 75 youth included three of the Odisha chosen from the country.
Three Youths-OMM Priyadarshi Chhotaray, Anindya Narayan Singh and Dileswar Rana – comes from the Odia language category.
Official sources say this scheme will ensure creating a collection of writers under the age of 30 years.
After mentoring, young writers will become proficient in writing in various genres such as fiction, non-fiction, travelog, memoir, drama, poetry and so on.
“This scheme will help not only develop the stream of writers who can write on the spectrum of subjects to promote Indian heritage, culture and knowledge, but also provide windows for young people who aspire to articulate themselves in their mother tongue and represent India at the international level, “The official source said.
Chhotaray, an alumnus Nit Rourkela, said interest in particular in writing took him to take part in the national level context.
“I don’t expect my name will come in the list of 75 candidates.
I feel happy to be chosen by NBT for the scheme,” he added.
He said there were two stages in the mentoring scheme.
In the first phase, two-week online writers will be held for selected candidates followed by online / onsite training programs for two weeks.
In the second stage, they will get exposure through interactions at various international events such as literary festivals, book exhibitions, Virtual Book Fair and Cultural Programs, he added.
At the end of the Mentorhip, said Chhotaray, RS 50,000 scholarship per month for a period of six months per author will be paid based on the scheme.
As a result of the program, NBT will publish books written by young writers.
10 percent royalties will be paid to the author on a successful publication of their books.
“Our books can be translated into other languages.
When I come from Paikas Village and work on their problems, I will write a book about the contribution of Paika in the freedom movement during this mentoring program,” said young writers from the Khurda district.
Education Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated the winners.
“I’m sure they will go to be an ambassador, culture and Indian heritage,” he added.
