Massoor Sangeem from Afghanistan is the third student who has been given by the university.
“Overall there are nine foreign students who have registered but we have to reject other applications because we did not offer the course they were looking for,” said Dashrath Jadav, Registrar of the Varsity.
Universities function under the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
“Decisions about their visa process and how and when they can start their class will be in accordance with the central government’s decision,” he added.
Ancient languages, which have affected many oral languages such as Gujarati, Assamese, Oriya, Bengal, Hindi, Nepal, Punjabi, Kashmiri and Marathi, among other things, are maternal languages of less than 25,000 people according to the 2011 Indian Census.
Sanskrit University also found a choice of online courses to reach fans in the country and around the world, who want to learn the ancient language.
