Chatra: acting on a tip-off, the Simaria police from the district captured three smugglers and restored 2 kg of opium apart from them.
Two bicycles and five cellphones were also confiscated from their ownership.
US Sub-division police officer Ashok Kumar Priyadar said they got a tip-off that some opium smugglers were present on Jalan Lamboia-Tetria.
After the tip-off, Priyadarshi led the official team to attack in the area and capture smugglers who were busy selling opium.
SDO said the person arrested was identified as Om Prakash Kumar, Kumar and Prabhat Kumar Verma.
