Ghaziabad: Delhi-based cloth traders allegedly robbed more than Rs 14 Lakh in Loni on Thursday.
According to the police, the victim – was identified as Pradeep Jain – came to receive payments from his client in Loni along with his brother Sushil Jain.
Pradeep in his complaint said that when he returned after collecting the amount of cash more than Rs 14 Lakh, three on motorbikes intercepted them.
“They took us in Gunpoint and escaped with cash.
The incident happened near Flyover Bantla in Loni and one of the robbers had broken my car window too,” he added.
Atul Sonkar, Circle Officer, Loni, said that the police received information about crime around 9pm, and immediately a team reached the place.
“On the basis of complaints, Fir has been registered with unknown people under the Section 392 (robbery) IPC,” the officer added.
The police have formed two teams to arrest the perpetrators.
“One team also checked CCTV footage from the nearest area to track robbers and bicycles used in crime,” Sonkar said.
