Coimbatore: The Kaperur Police in the Dindigul district has saved three people who were kidnapped and secured two suspected kidnappers and handed them to Palladam police in Tirupur district on Friday.
Two of them – u Azhagar, 33 and Mahwaran are allegedly involved in the smuggling of gold ingots from Sri Lanka.
He reportedly cheated a group of more than RS50 Lakh and moved to Tirupur one and a half months ago.
He worked as an acting driver for entrepreneurs, said a police officer.
The reason for the abduction of the trio will only be known after arresting all gang members, the officer said.
