3 students from Tamil Nadu in Top 100 in Jee Main

Chennai: Three city students have been ranked between the top 100 in Jee (Main) conducted in four sessions starting in February to August.
Ashwin Abraham from Gopalapuram Chennai, one of 44 to get 100 percent at the national level, secured all the 12th ranked Indian and a country’s topper appeared.
R Roshana (99,993 percentile) rank 113, the highest among girls in Tamil Nadu.
Experts said conducting an exam in four sessions helped high score students.
In the four joint sessions, 9,39,008 students appeared for the exam, with the top 2.51 lakh to qualify for JEE (continued) scheduled for 3.
October.
Ashwin Abraham said he had prepared for the past two years.
“But, I don’t expect to be among the top 50 years.
Teacher is very helpful.
They do a lot of online classes and clarify our doubts.
I am preparing about 10 hours per day.
I wrote many training tests and revised the concepts many times that I think it helps.
“Narayana Olympiad School students in Gopalapuram said he was aiming to join computer science at IIT Bombay.
Thiruvarul P, another student from the same school, secured the 88th rank.
Shankar Bajee S from Chettinad Vidhyashram, with a 99.996 percentile in the third session, pocketed all 77th Indian rankings.
“Attending more than two sessions gave me more time in preparation.
I want to join computer science or electrical engineering in IIT Bombay or IIT Madras.” R Roshana from a modern senior high school in Nanganallur, who got 99,993 percentiles, said he was interested in doing Technology B in one IIT “My interest field is mathematics and computer science.” B Pavan Kumar, Deputy Director of Fiitjee in Chennai, said the results were good because the exam was conducted in four sessions and many students had increased their score in the next session.
P Francela, Director of the Narayana Educational Institution Academic Association, said the institution received the expected results in all four sessions.
“The four sessions help students feel comfortable with online learning.”
