Chennai: Three school children have tested positive Covid-19 in the city in the past week.
The city education officer said the three was a class X girl from a private school in Alwarpet, a class XI boy from a higher secondary school company and a class X boy from a private school in the scurber.
Zonal Health Officer Teynampet, E Saraswathi, said the class X and his parents had returned from Bengaluru on August 30.
“On September 2, they suffered a light and cold cough.
They tested positive results in September.
Parents immediately told the principal and the girl returned home.
We collected 104 samples of students and staff.
All have been tested negative.
We have given Know them to find symptomatic children and immediately report, “he said.
The girl and her parents were treated at the Institute of Medical and Research Preventif King’s, Guindy.
Both parents are vaccinated.
“They are fine and only have mild symptoms,” Sarawathi said.
In the second case reported on September 8, class X students study in private schools in the scurry, tested positively.
He has a twin brother that has been tested negatively.

VenkAatanan, Zonal Health Officers told the Toi that the father of the child was vaccinated with both doses and he worked in Indian oil corporations.
“He had a fever on September 2 but then the symptoms subsided.
But his son complained of body pain after that they tested the child and family.
The child was tested positively but the mother and sister were tested negative.

In the third case, a class XI student at a higher secondary school company was tested positively on September 9.
He was also stable, said officials and no other students were tested positively from school.
