3 Temples Tainted in Bangladesh, Police Registered Complaints

Dhaka: The police have registered complaints over the allegations of three temples in Bangladesh as members of the Hindu minority community protested demanding the arrest of the cause behind the incident in Lalmonirhat Regency, said on Sundays.
Protests began after raw animal meat packed in a polythene bag was hung on the door of three Hindu temples and a house in the district of Lalmonirhat district in early Friday, the Star Daily newspaper.
Four complaints were submitted at the local police station on Friday night on this issue, the paper was added.
Muslims in the area condemned the incident, linking it to elements who wanted to disturb the harmony of interfaith, said a local journalist.
On Saturday, a member of the local Hindu community held a protest in a temple, demanding the arrest of causes.
“The police have assured us that the perpetrators will be arrested,” said Dilip Kumar Singh, President Hatibandha Upazila Panjapan Udjapan Parishad, added that the incident could be attributed to the local Union parish poll held on December 26.
The official police officer of the Eshadul Alamsaid they investigated the incident.
He said that additional police forces had been deployed in the area and the search was launched to track “criminals”.
“Everything involved will be taken to the book,” he said.
Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist – The leader of the Christian Christian Association of Kajal Debnath said the incident like this was reported earlier from other places in this country and the perpetrators of such actions were led by famous thoughts to hurt “faith and our feelings”.
In October, Hindu temples were attacked in Bangladesh after allegations after blasphemy appeared on social media during Durga Puja.
