3 theft in a day keeping the police on their toes

Nagpur: The theft incidence has improved manifolds in the city.
On Tuesday, three thefts were reported from various parts of the city where unknown criminals were determined with valuable items worth Lakh Rupees.
The first incident was reported from the Jagtap layout where an unknown thief sneaked into a guest house owned by Meghal’s company in the MIDC area between 10am and 11:00 and was closed with toiletries worth RS1.21 Lakh.
MIDC police have registered cases and continuing further.
In the second incident, Sitabuldi police have registered a case against an unknown woman who stole gold ornaments worth RS2.43 lakh from a jewelry store.
Theft occurred on Tuesday between 12:30 a.m.
and 1.30 pm.
The police said the woman entered a jewelry store, located on the West West Court road, disguised as a customer and managed to distract the store manager.
He was determined by an ornament worth RS2.43 Lakh.
The incidence of the third theft occurred under the jurisdiction of the Hudeshwar police station.
The police said Kusum Shindekar complainants had displayed the board ‘home for sale’ in Kirti Nagar.
Posing as a prospective buyer, two unknown women visited Shindekar’s residence and turned his attention during the conversation.
One woman managed to steal Gold ornaments worth RS74,000 from Almirah.
Further investigation is active.
