Pune: Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Mahametro) has planned to integrate metro services by train in three stations in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
The plan includes provisions for ramps, foot waves and direct access points to allow passengers to move between facilities.
With the construction of a metro station in the fast lane, Mahametro said that in talks with train officials to plan and implement integration.
Ramps will appear at the coarse station to connect it to the Metro station, while similar facilities are being planned at Pune and Shivajinagar Station.
“Integration at Pune Railway Station is very important because many commuters will switch between services every day.
We plan to connect the train overbridge to the Metro facility and provide separate entry points from the ground floor.

Shivajinagar Metro Station appeared under the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus depot.
“We will provide maximum facilities for easy movement of commuters between Metro, Railway, PMPML and MSRTC services.
We also plan to connect services to the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar line too,” an official said.
