Thane: Police Navi Mumbai has arrested the three famous criminals desired in connection with the shooting in West Bengal from Panvel, an official said on Saturday.
Based on tip-off, the police conducted a preliminary operation at Panvel for the past two days and Nabbed Shabbir Garden Rasool Gharami (35), Rabiul Kokon Gharami (43) and Noor Nature Mojiful Ismal Mondal (21), Navi Mumbai Commissioner of Police Bipin said Kumar Singh.
The trio was arrested in connection with the murder of one Mozaffal Haque Mandal (40), which was stabbed and was shot dead in Bairmat Regency Bengali Barat on October 7.
The police have registered a violation below Section 302 (murder) and other relevant provisions.
The IPC and Indian arm acted at that time, he said.
Police and Mumbai Navi colleagues from West Bengal conducted a combing operation and focused on the desired charges, the official said.
The West Bengal Court has issued a warrant to stand in the name of Rabiul, who has a number of serious crimes registered with it, he added.
