Jaipur: Sirohi Police on Monday arrested three people including a female student after several answers, who were allegedly originated from the Village Development Officer (VDO) exam which was dropped on a paper suspected of being tested.
SP (Sirohi), Dharmendra Singh said that the police had not found “digital evidence,” alleged answer keys, and investigations were underway based on the defendant’s report.
The district police have registered people who were arrested as Praveen Kumar, Prakash Godara and Indu Bala students, all residents in the nearest Jalore District.
Indu allegedly received paper with several answers through Whatsapp.
“We must strengthen the statements made by the woman (Indu Bala).
We have sent their cellphones to the FSL to recover possible evidence,” Singh said.
The police said that Indu Bala during its interrogation claimed that her husband Ladu Ram had paid Rs 15 Lakh to Raju Iram, Prakash Godara, Prakash Bharani and others for VDO question paper.
He also told the police that he and about 20 other students were taken to a small village in Meerpur in Jalore the day before the test where the gang had promised that they would receive paper questions there, but no one received a copy of the VDO question paper .
On Monday morning, the gang arranged a different vehicle for ferry students like Bala Indu to their examination center.
According to Singh, the charming incident took place when the police team at 10 am on Monday intercepted a black SUV SUV number plate through the city.
A police inspector asked the SUV to stop, but the driver drove through the Goyali circle and then passed by the Dodua and Kalandri routes, heading to the Jalore district before Sho intercepted the vehicle near the village of Vellangari and held the driver who was identified as a Praveen Kumar.
.
The police found a copy of the exam center card from the SUV, the card belonged to the Indu Bala student.
The defendant could not give the reason why he had another student card with him, “Singh said.
He was taken to the Kotwali police station where he told the police about Raju Iram.
Based on the card found from the SUV, the police detained Bala’s Indu from the examination center for interrogation.
“We are investigating to check whether some answers are shared.
Also, in many cases like that in the past, we have seen that the gang deceived students by offering to sell paper for exorbitant prices, “said Singh.
Police Kotwali Sirohi has submitted FIR against Raju Iram and several others under the 420 section (cheating) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) IPC.
Meanwhile, Board Selection staff Rajasthan (RSSB) has ruled out that VDO question paper leaked.
“There are various series of paper questions.
And in this case, there are no questions leaking before the exam.
Also, it has not been confirmed if the answer is correct, “said Chairman of the RSSB Day of Prasad Sharma.
