Hyderabad: Maybe for the first time in this country, Telangana Genco has developed a 30 bed hospital exclusively for migrant workers at the power plant under construction in Damarcherla in Suryapet District.
Energy Minister G Jagady Reddy and Telangana Genco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao inaugurated the hospital on Tuesday.
The decision was taken by Genco because many workers who worked in Yadadri’s thermal power plant in Damarcherla which was being built to produce 4,000 MW power had gone for their home country because of the locking and worries of Pandemic Covid-19.
“In the first wave of Covid-19, a lot of workers from various countries such as Jharkhand, Bihar and to the left for their home countries.
