30% Health Staff Jabbed lost protection after 3 months

Ahmedabad: Antibodies obtained through Covid-19 infection, proximity to family members or infected vaccinations are the key to thwarting morbid covid disease and is a subject of research and intense deliberation in preparation for the third wave.
A complete study conducted locally referred to around 30% of the recipients, all health workers, recorded reduced antibodies after three months.
In particular, 55% of the recipients record an increase in antibody levels in the blood.
In other studies, it was carried out by AMC-Run Hospital – AmcMet, Maninagar, and NHL MMC, Ellisbridge showed that family members of the Covid Primary patient received higher seropositivity compared to other contacts and general populations.
This study, based on the Sero survey conducted in October last year, showed that family members had a 28.8% seropositivity compared to 24.4% on other contacts.
The overall seropositivity during the survey was found 26%.
This finding was published in the recent edition of the Journal of Health Science & Medical Research.
In connection with post-vaccination antibodies in health workers, Dr.
Bhavini Shah, Head (Microbiology), Neuberg diagnostics, told TII that they had chosen 500 doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other medical brotherhood members, the antibody titers (blood tests determined the presence And the antibody level) is collected.
“Then, the sample was collected a month after a dose, and the third sample was two months after the second sample,” he said, adding that the sample did not have a previous Covid-19 infection record.
‘Immunity can last for 6 to 12 months Bhavini Shah says that around 55% of the recipients record an increase in the level of antibodies in the blood.
“These antibodies are IgG and have a neutralizing effect on the protein surge in the Coronavirus.
The numbers rise significantly (75-100 to 150-200 au / ml (arbitrary units per milliliter of blood) show the efficacy of the vaccine to produce antibodies,” said Dr.
Shah.
“In 15% samples, the levels do not change much between the first and second doses.” But at 30% of the population, after three months, antibodies recorded a decline compared to their previous level.
“This shows that the protection against Covid reduced over time.
From around 175-200, the level was found to be around 1100-120 during the third sampling, “he said.” The impact is similar to the flu vaccine that requires a booster shot regularly to maintain immunity.
“Those who caught Covid during the second wave had a reason for cheering – the results of the study compared to the 30,000-plus sample database were processed by the lab.
The researchers found that they were Ang getting natural immunity after being infected has a much higher number of antibodies (up to 400 au / ml) and the impact lasts longer than in 2008.
Someone obtained immunization.
The researchers said that the impact of the decline in vaccination was common among viral diseases.
During the study, they did not find a definite group that was susceptible to the phenomenon.
“We will repeat the same exercise on the nine months of the first vaccine to see the impact.” Hypothesically, how long does the vaccine impact take place? Experts say it may take longer to judge the real number, but for most populations, it can last for more than six to twelve months.
