New Delhi: A total of 32 Covid-19 cases from the Omicron variant have been detected from five countries so far, accounting is less than 0.04% of the total detected variants, and patients so far report mild symptoms.
While the Ministry of Health has received a report of 25 cases, seven more cases reported from Maharashtra at night on Friday.
While Maharashtra (17) and Rajasthan (9) have reported the maximum number of Omicron cases so far, Gujarat has three, Karnataka two and Delhi has one such case.
“All cases detected have mild symptoms,” Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health Union, said while underlining the need to maintain an increase in compliance with public health measures and increase full vaccination coverage.
The government said Delta continued to be a dominant variant even in places where the cluster of the case was found.
However, the government watched the trend and would be able to withdraw an assessment only after mid-December, given the time of the virus manifestation, officials said.
“Clinically, Omicron has not caused a burden on a health care system.
However, Vigils must be maintained,” India’s Medical Board Board of India Balra Bhargava said on Friday.
This center underlines that cases increase even in countries with high vaccination and world health organizations have warned of relaxation in public health measures such as those that lead to cases in many countries.
Bhargava said the district with more than 5% positive must apply limitation and strict public health measures.
At present, eight districts in Mizoram (5), Kerala (2) and Sikkim (1) have more than 10% of Covid-19’s ponytitility, while 19 districts that stretch in seven states and UT have their participants in the range of 5-10%.
It includes Kerala (8), Mizoram (5), Manipur (2) and each in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal and Puducherry.
“Routine meetings are being held to maintain a global scenario and routine meetings that are being held also maintain a surprise on the Covid scene in India, focusing on Omicron,” said Bhargava, which underlines that there is no need to panic but people must adhere to the appropriate behavior of covid like Previous and vaccinated.
The Cabinet Secretary will hold a review meeting on Saturday to take a stock of Covid-19 situation throughout the country and readiness to overcome and the possibility of increasing due to a new variant.
The government also urges the country and UTS to increase testing and supervision to ensure cases are detected, isolated and treated on time.
“Districts and states must increase testing as appropriate and scientific evidence for diagnosis and maintenance is being reviewed regularly and maintenance remains unchanged at this time,” Bhargava said.
A total of 8,503 cases were reported from all over the country on Thursday.
At present, there are 94,943 active cases throughout the country, where 54% are in Kerala and Maharashtra.
