Ludhiana: A man who depressed killed his small daughter before committing suicide in Raikot Adda, Jagraon, in Wee Friday.
After the death of his wife, Pardeep Singh, 32, lived with his eight-year-old daughter Japjit Kaur, a class II student, in their Jagroan home.
Police said, “Pardeep had deprecated after his wife, Rajwant Kaur, died about a year ago.
He also committed suicide.
Before that, his father, mother and brother died.
Aunt Pardeep, Ranjit Kaur, who lives in the village of Chakkar, has offered To take Japjit and make it registered at the school there.
“When Ranjit and his son went to Pardeep’s house to take Japjit on Friday morning, they saw both of them hanging from the fan.
They then told the police.
Jagraon City Police took the bodies and took them to a government hospital for post-mortem.
“Pardeep first hung his daughter from the ceiling fan.
After he died, he hung himself with his turban.
We have recovered his cellphone from the place.
It was scanned to put aside a rotten game,” the police added.
Amarjit Singh Sub-Inspector, “Pardeep has two parking lots and land.” Police restored suicide notes from that place, where Pardeep wrote that he committed suicide and took his daughter together because he did not want him to be dependent on anyone.
“Rajwant’s death destroys our lives.
My house and property must be handed over to my mother’s uncle,” the note was added.
The incident sent shock waves in the area.
Sukhdeep Singh, a Pardeep friend, “said Pardeep with drugs.” The sub-inspector said, “he began to do drugs after the death of his wife.” The police have initiated the inspection process below the 174 CRPC section.
