Ahmedabad: 31,969 people received their vaccination shots in 143 centers in the city on Tuesday.
More than 20 important vaccination centers in the West, northwest and the South Zone are still closed due to lack of vaccine supply.
Civil officials claimed that 11,767 residents were given the second dose on Tuesday.
Important vaccination center in Jodhpur, Naranpura, Stadium, Narol, Odhav, Tagore Hall and certain centers in Shahibaug saw several close counter because of lack of vaccines.
“We will be able to vaccinate 35,000 to 36,000 every day for the next four days.
We expect the allocation of VAX doses to rise to 40,000 immediately,” said a senior AMC official.
About 16.26 lakh in the age group of 18 to 44 years has been vaccinated in the city.
A large chunk, 8.64 lakh individuals in the age group of 45 to 60, have also been vaccinated.
