Lucknow: Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Monday confirmed that 32 children and seven adults had died in Firozabad, because fever was like a dengue fever in the district.
Adityanath visited their families who lost their members and convinced them to help.
The minister’s chairman also visited the 100-bed district hospital in Firozabad where children showed symptoms of disease being treated.
At least 30 children recently lost their lives in this hospital, reportedly mysterious fever.
“Ward Covid-19 who is dedicated at the Firozabad District Hospital is intended for patients suffering from this fever,” said Minister of Chief to reporters.
Some districts in Uttar Pradesh West, including Mathura, Firozabad and Mainpuri, have witnessed a surge in ‘viral fever’ cases that have made the government press the panic button.
BJP MLA from Firozabad, Manish Asija, has claimed on Sunday that 40 children died last week from this disease.
The claim was denied by the Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh who called Asija’s claim “wrong” and said that he did not receive the report.
District Judge Firozabad, Chandra Vijay Singh denied that this was the third wave of pandemic.
“Because of heavy rains and water logging, dengue fever and malaria are causes behind high fever among children,” he said.
The health team has tested patients but all have been tested negatively for Corona.
