MUMBAI: Within half an hour, 335 offenders including 35 in the Anda (egg-shaped) mobile were vaccinated at the Arthur Road prison on Tuesday.
The camp has been organised at a combined enterprise of the prison police and Job Mumbai, a city-based NGO.
Those vaccinated comprised eight overseas nationals lodged at the prison.
You’ll find 2,950 prisoners lodged in the prison at Tuesday although its official capability is 804.
“The Legislation began at 9am and moved smoothly.
At one stage, the resting space was vacated and the 35 Anda cell offenders were introduced and provided vaccination,” said a source.
These vaccinated were at the age range between 30 decades and 44 decades.
But on June 1, as many as 169 offenders, all of those who had been 45-year-olds and over, were vaccinated as a member of a particular camp.
“That is yet another step in the path of becoming as many taxpayers with lower privileges vaccinated.

Ahead of such camps from the prison, 244 offenders (45 decades and over ) were vaccinated in Kasturba hospital.
Arthur Road jail, built in 1925, is among the very sensitive and overcrowded prisons from the nation.
It’s 540 hardened offenders, detained under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act or MCOCA, 400 offenders detained arrested in murder cases, 80 confronting terror prices along with 138 overseas nationals.

A group of physicians was vaccinating all of the prisoners who had been brought in their barracks and contributed paracetamol also after vaccination.
“The offenders were asking questions such as if the vaccination is going to have any negative effects .
