33K people who meet the requirements have not been affixed to Mysuru, said DC

Mysuru: Announcing that the District Administration will require a strict Covid guideline in public places, Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gautham said more than 33,000 residents in Mysuru have not taken Covid vaccines.
Bagadi Gautham reviewed preparations to handle challenges during the possibility of the third wave of Covid, on Monday.
Covid’s front level has risen in recent days and the highest Sunday figures in the past with a positive rate of 5.6%.
In the last week, the average level of participation reached 2.5%.
“The opportunities of high-infected people among groups that are not vaccinated and public must be vaccinated immediately,” DC appealed.
At present, this district has more than 1,000 active cases and increases with increased cases in other parts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru which is at close range.
In accordance with the district health authority, more than 75% of cases were reported from MySuru City and Taluk.
Of the total 1,027 active cases, 775 came from Mysuru Taluk and the city.
About 125 patients were hospitalized, while the rest were under house isolation.
On Sundays only, 398 individuals of a total of 7,070 samples were tested positively and of them, 60 cases were children under 18 years.
In last week, 42,584 tests were carried out in all districts and 1,064 found positive.
The average front level is 2.5%.
“Still, 33,000 residents are hesitant or reluctant to take vaccines in the district.
Our health workers visit the door and public threshold that are not considered must take advantage of this facility,” DC said.
Briefing on preparation, Deputy Commissioner said 2,048 beds were reserved in 14 government hospitals, 1,661 beds in 44 private hospitals, and 2,671 beds in 21 Covid care centers throughout the district.
Overall, 6,380 beds are available for covid treatments.
“About 830 beds are reserved for pediatric use.
If necessary, the district administration is ready and able to increase the number of beds with another 15-20% depending on the kasel,” he added.
DC also advises the public not to panic.
“The omicron variant is infectious and according to research, is not too severe in health.” People must avoid not necessary hospitalization, but care about and prevention such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance, “he added.
Fewer cases in school institutions and colleges have continued the classroom, but until now, the District Administration has not found outbreaks of Covid cases in educational institutions.
Except for four different regions in the city of Mysuru and rural areas, no clusters in educational institutions, revealed DC.
Only 200 Visitors at a time of DC said the tourism authorities had been informed to allow only 200 visitors and this was intended to prevent crowds in tourist attractions.
The Palace Board Manager of MySuru and other tourist attractions have been informed to strictly ensure the appropriate Covid behavior to maintain infection in the bay.
