Noida: A 34-year-old man who tested Positive Covid recently and was treated in a private hospital on August 19, died on Monday night.
However, the Ministry of Health has not counted it as a Covid death.
The last Covid death in Noida was reported on June 13.
For two and a half months, most patients have reported mild symptoms and are in house isolation, officials said.
According to the source of the Ministry of Health, the 34-year-old child is likely to be the first case in more than two months when covid patients need critical care.
Dr.
Sunil Sharma Chief Officer said: “We have not received confirmation from the hospital and we have sent questions about this.
Officials say that patients have covid and later, the test report is negative.” So far, this month, 40 Covid cases have been reported In Noida and the trend of decreasing stable infections since may continue.
July has seen 156 cases.
According to the doctor at the Sharda Hospital, the man who died on Monday came from Dankaur and had been taken to three hospitals before being treated at Sharda in Greater Noida.
He suffered from liver disease and then positively tested for Covid.
“He has been intubasi and critical when he comes to us.
He has a severe heart infection and then he has a multi-orgal failure.
We have formed a team with doctors from various departments to monitor it.
This is our first patient in more than two months, “Said Ajit Kumar, spokesman Sharda Hospital.
Officials said the man was stored in isolation.
Since last year, 63,211 cases have been reported in Noida and the death toll in 466.
While one death was recorded between January and March this year, the number jumped to 213 in April and 143 in May, when the second wave struck.
April saw 17,358 cases and in May, 18,729 cases were reported.
In June, the number of cases dropped to 640 but 16 deaths were recorded, which caused the month to have the highest death rate of 2.5%.
According to the doctor, one reason for this could be some patients in hospitals for a long time and many have post-covid complications.
“People should not panic.
But we hope they continue to follow the appropriate behavior of Covid.
We urge everyone to wear masks and visit public places only when needed,” Sharma said, the head of the medical officer.
