New Delhi: As part of preparation to fulfill all surge in demand for medical oxygen, around 3,631 PSA (absorption of swing pressure) oxygen plants have begun in this country to provide more than 4,500 MT medical oxygen, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan.
At present, 1,595 from this factory has been assigned and provides 2088 MT oxygen to patients in the hospital.
Of these, 731 the factory has been assigned under the central resources, while 864 is funded by the state and other resources such as corporate social responsibility.
Of the total 3631 PSA planned factories, 1,491 were assigned through central resources.
They will provide more than 2,220 mt medical oxygen.
In addition, 2,140 factories are being carried out through state and other resources to provide 2.289 MT oxygen.
The government has asked the state to ensure readiness to overcome the surge in the case.
