364 missing people found in WR, CR since January 21

Mumbai: More than 300 children, who have escaped from their homes or disappeared, saved from the Western Railway and Division Mumbai Central Railway since January 2021.
In the last eight months in the Division Mumbai, 156 children were found in the premise of WR and 166 in CR property.
Public Relations Officer WR Sumit Thakur said, “Children are reunited with their families with the help of NGOs such as the Indian Childline Foundation Most of these children leave their homes without telling their family members.” These children are found hanging around the platform, place station or sometimes on the train by the train protection troops personnel.
Chief Relations Public Relations CR Shivaji Sutar said, “The train fulfills its social responsibility by connecting with children who run away, understand their problems and advise them to return to their families.”
