New Delhi: The Voting for the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) Election witnessed a low selector of 37.27% on Sundays, officials said.
The DSGMC that controls the temple in the city, including Rakabganj and Bangla Sahib Gurudwaras and various academic institutions and hospitals, go to polls after every four years.
The DSGMC is a married body, from the 46 chosen directly from 46 wards in Delhi.
The remaining members are appointed from different seats from the Sikh religion and group.
The election carried out by the Directorate of the Delhi Gurdwara Government, has 3.42 Lakh voters.
The percentage of votes from male voters was 39.95% and it was 34.95% for women, officials said.
Punjabi Bagh Ward recorded the highest percentage of 54.10% while Sham Nagar recorded 25.18% low, according to the number issued by the Directorate.
Calculating the sound will take place on August 25 as many as 312 candidates, including 132 independent, which is in the commotion.
