38 Doctors ‘Covid Warriors’ completed combat training at the ITBP Academy

MUSSOORIE: A group of 38 young doctors of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), including 14 women, completed their combat training under a combatization of officers set for batch assistant commanders and medical officers at the ITBP Academy here on Saturday.
These officers are trained in various subjects such as tactics, weapons handling, physical training, intelligence, field engineering, map readings, administration, law and human rights that enable them to grow into competent fighters with their duties as medical officers , suitable for releasing their duties.

“Before the start and medium of this combatation training, this medical officer was deployed at Sardar Patel Covid Care Center (SPCC), New Delhi on the task of Covid-19 and worked tirelessly during the testing period,” ITBP said.
During the first and second wave Covid-19, ITBP runs the SPCC at Radha Soami Beas in Chhattarpur, New Delhi has cared for more than 13,000 Covid-19 patients.
After issuing the Covid-19 task, these officers returned to the Academy in July this year to complete their training after gaining valuable experience working in a very stressful situation in the peak period Covid.
For the immediate service, the training officers have been awarded the rolls and badges of the Director General only during their training period.
The ITBP Director General (DG) Sanjay Arora put rank against young doctors after ceremonials who passed the parade in the Academy Parade land, where the new officers took an oath to dedicate themselves to the nation’s service.
Overcoming the batch, Arora, which has served the ITBP in the past as a commander (training) at the ITBP Academy Mussoorie, congratulated the young officers and reminded them of the noble history and very high standard of power discipline.
DG said that ITBP was deployed in a very hard terrain with border posts at an height of as high as 18,800 feet where the temperature dropped to 45 degrees.
“Apart from keeping the high altitude limit in the Himalayas, the power is deployed in internal security, disaster management etc.
and always delivered by serving Mother Pertiwi,” he added.

Vishal Choudhary was awarded the best cup in the room, the best outdoors and the overall best training participants from the batch.
Nilabh Kishore, Inspector General (Academy Director) talked about trainees, academies and contributions of the ITBP instructor and headquarters for the success of the settlement of the course.
Brigadier (DR) RAM Niwas, Dig (Training), highlighted the terms of important training given to officers who distributed this during this foundation course and convinced the academy commitment to maintain the highest training standards.
