New Delhi: A 38-year-old man allegedly shot dead by several unknown people at Alipur North Delhi, said the police on Friday.
They said the deceased was identified as Pramod Kumar, a resident of Hiranki Village, and himself involved in an effort to kill and follow up on the case.
They said the Alipur police station received information about a quarter to 11th night that some unknown people had opened fire on a man and fled.
The police rushed to the place to find that the attackers who were transmitted through the motorcycle had fired Kumar who shifted to Max Hospital in Haidarpur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Brijendra Kumar Yadav said.
Kumar was declared dead, police said.
The place was examined by a crime investigation team where nine empty cartridges were found, they said.
The police said they registered a case under the relevant section and further investigation was ongoing, police said.
