New Delhi: Education Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday told Lok Sabha that 39 posts chairmen and directors lay empty in IITS and NITS and 147 faculty posts were not filled in centrally funded.
“At present, eight Post Chairperson in IITS and 21 Post Chairperson in Nits are empty.
Furthermore, five postors in IIT and five posts in empty nits.
Nomination and election of chairperson and other posts are a sustainable process,” he said in a written response to a response question.
Pradhan also said Yoga training was included in the ‘Study in India’ program to encourage students from abroad and Maharshi Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratisthan in Ujjain is considering forming a new academic council for oral vedic traditions with modern subjects with modern subjects.
He told the house that the Yoga Department had been established in nine central universities.
He further said from the total strength of 410 sanctions, as many as 147 faculty posts lay in an Indian information technology institution that was fully funded (iiit).
“IIIIT has taken steps to attract quality faculty, which includes open advertising, invitations through search-cum-selection procedures to alumni, scientists, faculties, special recruitment drives, etc.,” he told the house.
Empty posts include 28 in IIIL Allahabad, 37 in ABV-IIITIM Gwalior, 21 in PDBM-IIITI & M Jabalpur, 50 in IITD & M Kancheepuram and 11 posts at IITD & M Kur Noool.
On the Board for the tradition of oral Vedas, the Minister said, “The central government only has two school boards, namely CBSE and NIOS.
However, MSRVVP, Ujjain, autonomous bodies under the Ministry of Education, have been given permission for the Personal Council for mixed education, including Vedic Education and moder subjects.
