Gurgaon: As many as 3,000 government doctors will strike on Tuesday to demand ‘specialist cadre doctors who will work in hospital special clinics and do not provide public services.
The doctors threatened an unlimited attack from January 14 if the government did not meet their demand.
Doctors also demand a salary structure on par with other countries, according to the central government rules.
In addition, the Association of Haryana’s Civil Medical Services Doctors demanded that the government stop recruitment directly to Senior Medical Officers (SMO) and appoint SMOS through promotion.
It notes that in the absence of ‘specialist cadres’, 95% of HCM doctors only have this one promotional road during their service years.

The doctors demanded a reservation of 40% in a post-graduation seat for rural doctors and practiced doctors.
Singh added that they would suspend OPD services on Tuesday and declare strikes from January 14, affect emergency services, if the state government did not give them responses.

Previously in December, more than 1,000 doctors had held a meeting in Karnal and handed over their demands to the Chairman of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar.
