Chennai: R Roshana from Chennai secured the third rank of the national level among female students in the main entrance examination (main) Session-3 conducted from July 20 to 27.
He secured a percentile of 99.993 in the exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday stated the results of the Jee (main) exam results for BE, BTECH PAPER.
More than seven Lakh candidates throughout the country attended the exam from 334 cities including 12 cities abroad.
A total of 17 candidates scored 100 percent at the national level.
Roshana from a modern senior high school in Nanganallur said he had prepared the Jee exam for the past four years.
“I expect high grades, but are very happy to score 296 of 300 values and get the third level of the national level among female students.
With a high score in the third session, I will focus on Jee (sophisticated),” he said.
He wants to pursue Btech in IITS and is interested in studying computer science or mathematics.
“Even though the first two sessions were easy, my first session was 99.83 and 99.62.
In the third session, I got a better score,” he added.
Shankar Bajee S from Chettinad Vidhyashram in Chennai scored a 99.996 percentile in the third session and appeared as a topper in the state.
“I am interested in studying computer science in IIT.
Even though it is challenging to shift from offline mode to online mode, the training institution has given us adequate material.
I also prefer online mode because we can hold on to our own schedule,” he said.
B Pavan Kumar, Deputy Director, Fiitjee Chennai, said many students who emerged for the third session increased their Jee score because they had sufficient time because of the postponement of the exam.
The top 2.5 lakh students in JEE will be eligible to write the Jee (continued) exam schedule on October 3.
