New Delhi: The result of 875 people, tested for Covid in parliament, has returned positively, said the source on Sunday, the day before the start of the budget session.
Data, they said, were tests conducted from the beginning of the third wave of pandemics until January 20.
This session is scheduled to start from January 31 and its first part will end on February 11.
A total of 2,847 tests have been carried out in parliament since the beginning of the third wave, and from this result 875 returned positive, said source.
Of the total tests, 915 was carried out by the Sabha’s Rajya secretariat and 271 samples found positive for infections, they said.
According to sources, the session will be held after the protocol related covid.
After a surge in Covid case, a call must be taken whether Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will sit simultaneously or in different shifts, they said.
Rajya Sabha Chairman and Venkaiiah Naidu Vice President have also tested Covid’s positive.
This for the second time Naidu has been infected with a virus.
“Venkaiiah Naidu vice president, who is in Hyderabad, was tested by Covid Positive today.
