3rd wave: Bengal TV industry strives for air episodes

Kolkata: The third wave has submitted a greater challenge to the Bengal television industry.
With the level of infection among artists and technicians who are much higher than what is before, this industry fighting teeth and nails to shoot, edit, and deliver episodes to channels on time for unbroken telecast.
The script was changing at the last moment when artists were infected and the author worked under great pressure to ensure that the show continued.
Koneenica Banerjee, who plays the lead in ‘Aay Tobe Sohochori’, has a “panic attack” regularly worrying if he doesn’t realize bringing home infection.
“Two my co-actors’ actors – Indranil Chatterjee and Arunima Hallder – have been tested positively and out of a week’s photo shoot.
Indrajit Chakraborty, Kuyasha Biswas and I have to enter and shoot all episodes.
Now, I heard Indrajit’s daughter unhealthy,” he said .
What is more worrying is the safety of his two-year-old daughter – and a half-year-old.
“During the last wave that was spring, I would return home, take a shower, shampoo my hair and hug my daughter.
I can’t even do it now in winter because they are afraid to catch a cold at night.
Shooting every day important for the freelancer but the tension is not bearable, “he added.
Actor Shreyasee Samanta, who played Malobika Sen Sharma, and Banerjee’s prandungke, who portrayed the Shoor Soumen, in ‘Mon Phagun’ had both fell ill.
“We have to avoid it creatively so that the telecast continues without interference and ensuring their absence does not affect the ongoing story road.
Someone must tweak the storyline or take pictures in such a way that the absence of these actors in the scene are not felt,” said Sani Ghosh Ray from Acroporiaith Entertainment which produces this series.
Leena Gangopadhyay, scriptwriter, producer co-producer and creative magic moment that produces four serials, sent messages by members of the unit about the main actors infected on Sunday night.
On Monday morning, he had to rewrite the scene planned for that day.
For ‘Khorkuto’, he must leave a rice ceremony plan because many actors go down now.
“Chandan Sen and Koushik Roy are infected.
Anushree Das has a fever.
Ratna Ghoshal has just recovered while the Dulal Lahiri recovered from the operation,” Gangopadhyay said.
Since a ceremony in a shared family without the main actor it will look strange, Gangopadhyay must carry another track.
This situation is equally difficult for ‘Dhulokona’ where the main actor Indrastish Roy has tested positively right before he takes the reality show in the series.
“Badshah Moitra and Shankarchakraborty fell with Covid.
Because of his age, I don’t want to write a lot of scenes with Sabitri (Sabitri Chatterjee),” said Gangopadhyay.
