4.2L students in Maha attend physical schools

Mumbai: Nearly 4.2 Lakh Class VIII for XII students in Rural Maharashtra attending physical schools as offline classes began on Thursday, a month after the new academic year began.
There are no schools in villages in the Mumbai Metropolitan region (MMR) conducted by physical classes.
The numbers released by the state government showed that 5,947 schools in 25 of the 35 districts were reopened on Thursday.
Kolhapur saw a maximum presence with almost 1.6 lakh students in 940 schools.
In Aurangabad, 631 schools welcomed 21,599 students, while in Pune, 90 schools opened their gate to 3,505 children.
State data shows that none of the 2,150 schools in the Thane district can have a physical class.
The village must be free covid for a month to start offline schools.
On July 7, the state has issued government resolutions directing Covid free villages to start offline academic years 2021-22 from July 15.
The seven member committee, which consists of village sarpanch, health workers, income officers, school authorities, is to decide back to school.
Parental approval is mandatory.
Villages in MMR, except Mumbai, which are free Covid for more than a month reluctant to reopen the school as the approval of parents to send their children not to come.
A survey conducted by the Council of Research and Education Training this week has more than 81% of parents to send their children to offline schools.
The difference in opinion among the ministers added confusion, said the village head.
While Minister of Education Varsha Gaikwad from Congress gave a nod to reopen class VIII to XII, the Minist of Higher Education Uday Samant of Shiv Sena contradicts the increasing universities.
The Minister of Health of Rajesh Tope of NCP also said that the school would open only after college.
Sarpanchs from free-free covid villages do not want to provide an objection certificate to start the physical class.
“Parents want us to guarantee that their children will not be infected.
So, the decision about the reopening of the school is waiting,” said Sarpanch from a village in Kasa.
When the school for a higher class has been reopened in Thane, Palghar, Navi Mumbai from November to March, some tribal students have tested positive Covid-19.
In Mumbai, all schools were closed last year.
