4.5km stretch to the Temple of Nightmare for motorists

Pune: Stretching 4.5 km from The The The Liver Phata at Pune-Solapur Highway to Theone Ganapati Temple is marked with a hole, causing problems for vehicle users and ordinary citizens.
The lum was ranked among the famous and attractive and attracting famous ganapati temples of all the countries in large numbers.
With the government giving permission to reopen places of worship from October 7, the authorities expect a much heavier crowd to visit the temple and this can cause further problems and pose an accident risk.
Stretching of the road is also a major highway for locals and industrial vehicles from Daund and towards Shirur and Khed.
However, the difference between the Public Works Department (PWD) and a group of farmers for compensation for the plot obtained for widening roads has stopped work.
The Bombay High Court also directed the order in this problem on March 31, a PWD official said.
Atul Chavan, PWD Superintending Engineer for Pune Circle, told TII, “Farmers’ opposition has hampered road construction work.
We did several rounds of meetings with them to overcome their problems, including compensation.
We will soon talk about this problem.” Pwd is being Building a stretch of 17 km from the Liver Phata at Pune-Solapur Highway to the Phata Lonikand at Pune-Ahmednagar Highway.
The road is 10m wide and has two lanes.
Satyashil Nagrare, Deputy Engineer PWD, said the project was very important for local residents and industrial transportation.
“We cannot start work remembering the court order.
We checked the stretch two days ago.
It has developed some craters and big holes.
We have put facts in the court application.
We are waiting for the next hearing in court to overcome this problem,” he added.
He also claimed that small repair work had been carried out on the past highway recently but not enough to remember the daily trips on it.
“Because the temple will be reopened from the following month, it will be difficult for worshipers to travel to the city of Temple.
We relate to local politicians to resolve the crisis,” Nagrare said.
Sunny Kalbhor, a member of Zilla Parishad from Loniklabhor and Theur Group, said, “We have tried to convince farmers for the past few months.
Road work is needed to remember the safety of people and worshipers.
We will take this problem with the district administration too.
Compensation issues It is the key to farmers.
“Local farmers claimed that they did not oppose repairs or construction of existing roads.
“If they want to expand the road, the government must provide compensation according to the rules,” said a farmer.
Sandeep Kunjir, a farmer, claimed that eight hectares of agricultural land would be included in the road widening work.
“I will not have land in the process.
I have approached PWD officials and demanded compensation for eight hectares of land.
But they did not give me a definite response.
Similar to many other farmers,” he said.
Farmers in the village claim that widening work will require at least 28 to 30 hectares of additional land.
