Ludhiana: A 19-year-old guy was thrashed to death by four brothers and his anonymous accomplice at Sanjay Gandhi Colony late on Sunday night after a spat over a match of cricket.
Initially, Division seven authorities had lodged an FIR against three accused, including two sisters.
However, if the victim’s kin staged a demonstration, the authorities booked two brothers at the case.
The four brothers ‘ Amit Kumar, Ravi, Arvind and Subhash of Sanjay Gandhi Colony.
The victim was recognized as their neighbor, Karan Yadav, a labourer.
Ravi Kumar, brother of Karan, stated in his police complainant,”Karan was able to play cricket with a bunch of boys.
On Sundayhe had a spat with a few of those accused within the match.
Then, about 9pm, Karan went for a stroll.
After he touched nearby Gopal Mandirthe accused arrived in a vehicle.
I had been close to the place at the moment.
” “The accused began fighting Karan.
Ravi held Karan out of his arms along with Amit struck him with a baseball bat.
They returned after departing Karan at a pool of blood” he further added.
Ravi Kumar chose Karan into some hospital.
He had been known to CMC Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Ravi Kumar alleged that following the episode, Arvind came into their home and threatened them contrary to lodging an FIR.
They nabbed himtied him with a shrub and then handed him to the authorities.
On the other hand, the authorities set the accused loose after a time, ” he explained.
“We gave that a CCTV footage to the authorities which revealed the four brothers in the murder place.
However, the cops enrolled the situation just against two brothers.
Hence we staged a demonstration,” he further added.
Karan’s family assembled in Tajpur Chowk, Ludhiana-Delhi National Highway, about 1pm Monday and obstructed the street.
Following the police reserved Arvind and Subhash, also, they raised the hour-long blockade.
Assistant commissioner of police (east) Davinder Chaudhary explained,”The anonymous accused would be that the brother-in-law of Arvind.
All of the accused have been reserved.
