Lucknow: Four patients received at the Lokebarhu Hospital were categorized as alleged cases of dengue fever after their report in a positive outgoing card test on Sunday.
However, the Ministry of Health did not identify card tests for dengue fever as a confirmation test.
In accordance with the Ministry of Health, Elisa test is the only methodology of testing confirmation for dengue fever.
“Four patients who admitted at the Lokbandhu Hospital were tested to dengue with card tests.
The results they came out positive.
Therefore, they were marked as alleged cases of dengue fever,” said Dr.
Ajay Shankar Tripathi.
In accordance with the official count, a total of 518 patients have tested the positive dengue fever in the city since January this year.
