4 children sank in girechan during the Chhath ritual

Bokaro: Four children from two families sank in the river in Mangrodih Village under the Muffasil police station in Giridih while observing the Ritual Chhat Puja on Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 10 o’clock in the morning they went to the USRI Ghat river with several women for the Chhat ritual like washing soup-dali on Kharna’s day.
“The women were busy washing when the children went a little far from the place and stepped into the water to take a shower.
The children did not realize that the water was in there and sank,” said the police officer sub-division (SDO), Girech, said Anil Kumar Singh.
The deceased has been identified as Suhana Kumari (10), Sonakshi Kumari (9), Munna Kumar (12) and Diksha Kumari (12).
Diksha is a resident of Bokaro.
He came to his motherly grandfather’s house to celebrate Chhath.
The incident left the gloom in the village.
A villagers said, “Chhath Puja was detained at Madan Singh’s house and Tinku Singh.
The family women have gone to the USRI to wash the soup and bring water to Kharna.
Village children also go with women.
The women washed Soups on the river when the accident occurred.
“When the women returned home, some children came running and told that the four children sank on the river after that the villagers rushed to the place and took them out of water.
Two children died in that place while the other two were taken to a nursing home where the doctor said they were taken dead.
JMM President Sanjay Singh, former Mla Nirbhay Kumar Sahbadi, Deputy Mayor of Prakash Seth went to the spot and then expressed his condolences to the family who died.
